Configure Windows Defender
Run
Windows Defender
It should
open to the Home screen displaying the current status.
Click on
Tools (gear icon) at the top of the screen.
Now click on the Options link in the upper left.
Under the
‘Automatic scanning’ section, check all three boxes and set the type to ‘Full
System Scan’. Under ‘Default
actions’ set High and Medium alerts to ‘Remove’ and Low alerts to ‘Quarantine’.
Under
‘Real-time protection’ there are three subsections.
In the first check all the boxes.
Check ‘Software that has not yet…’ in the second.
In the last subsection, select ‘Always’.
Click Save to finish configuration.
