Welcome to the MSU Faculty Senate
Dear faculty colleagues and visitors:
I’d like to welcome you to the 2011-12 academic year and invite you to participate with us in the important work of shared governance at MSU, Bozeman. The Faculty Senate is composed of 37 representatives of each of the academic departments, the libraries, the Agricultural Research Centers, the Agricultural Extension Service.
Faculty Senate is the chief governance body of the faculty at Montana State University-Bozeman. The Faculty Senate and Professional Council [http://www.montana.edu/facultystaff/] make up the University Governance council. Under the governance authority of the Montana University System, the Faculty Senate frames the policies, procedures and standards of the Faculty Handbook.
The Senate currently meets every Wednesday at 4:10 pm, in 346 Leon Johnson Hall when classes are in session. Click here for the fall 2012 meeting schedule and here for the current week's agenda.
