the protected status of the grizzly bear and how
to prevent grizzly bear/human conflicts.

is particularly dangerous as is a bear that has been surprised.
-Use caution in approaching carcasses or gut
piles.
-Dogs can disturb a bear and lead it back to you.
Consider leaving dogs at home.
9. Human Safety: Feeding bears for any
purpose is prohibited. Overnight tent camping by permittees or guests is
discouraged.
10. Modification provision: This "Grizzly Bear

information or protection practices
become known.
11. Reporting: Grizzly bear sightings and/or
incidents shall be reported to the District Ranger's Office in
West Yellowstone, at (406) 646-7369.
